Tea Tree Oil
Obtained after distillation from the Australian plant Melaleuca, Tea tree is one of the oils that can be used topically. It is proved to be great for treating skin problems like blemishes and fungus. Here is how you can use it – Using a cotton swab, dab it on to acne blemishes. This helps you clean your skin. Or apply in the same way to fungal infections like athlete’s foot. Tea tree oil is also found in a wide range of skin care products.
Scarpelli defines Lavender as one of the most versatile oils. He adds “Lavender is most commonly used for it soothing and relaxing effects but it works on bruises, cuts and skin irritations just fine. Dr.Oz says that the fragrance of lavender reduces the level of stress hormones in the blood stream. Now that’s a wonderful reason to put a few drops of lavender oil in your bathtub to help you relax after a long day. Scarpelli goes ahead and recommends dropping one/two drops of Lavender oil on your hands, rubbing them together and inhaling. You can even sprinkle a few drops of diluted Lavender oil on your pillow and your bed before hopping in for your sleep.
